| The
first issue opens with a body on the floor.
Its organs have been arranged into patterns
and blood stained symbols encircle the body.
A bald man prays an unholy prayer while
an innocent 9 year-old girl is forced to
watch. The wall dissolves into a cavern
of light, and a figure emerges...the Confessor...
the bald man begins to scream as his soul
is ripped from his flesh... FBI
agents are called to the scene of the
crime and debate whether the body of the
dead bald man puts an end to their serial
killing investigation. Perhaps a cult
is involved. They try to speak to the
little girl who witnessed this grisly
crime, but she is catatonic. Agent Hayes
decides to stay in the area to try to
get something from the girl.
A
reknown psychiatrist, Dr. Alex Trachtmann
is contacted to aide in the little girl's
recovery. The child's art therapy has
revealed disturbing images that Dr. Trachtmann
recognizes. The Confessor. He saw the
Confessor once - the day he died.
